Volunteers are the Heart of JA

Looking ahead, our children will be our leaders. Today, it is our job to be their mentors and teachers. To provide opportunities for them to dream of a prosperous future and experience the wonder of what can be. No matter what your profession, your life experience and determination to succeed means you can serve as a role model.

One of Junior Achievement’s greatest assets is the dedication of its many volunteers–people who volunteer in their local schools, making a difference one class at a time. Our volunteers provide those “ah ha” moments daily as they help students discover the value of themselves, their education, and their future possibilities.

Junior Achievement volunteers teach fun, interactive lessons about business to kids in kindergarten through 12th grades and help students understand how important a complete education is to their future success.

Becoming a volunteer with Junior Achievement can be a very fulfilling experience because you are helping in the goal of bringing financial literacy to the youth of Tampa Bay. To be a Junior Achievement volunteer means to have a hands-on effect on your future local and global economy; as our students will be better equipped for the financial climate ahead.

You can be their hero by being a JA volunteer. We offer flexible training and volunteer opportunities in the classroom, at JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, or on-site at your company. Explore our opportunities, share your career and life experiences, and provide our region’s youth with a window to the future.
